VersiDoser™ Ophthalmic Delivery Systems are designed to administer a gentle stream of droplets to the eye with a push of a button. These systems operate from a normal head and hand orientation and aid in holding the eyelid open during administration making them easier to use for the elderly and pediatric patients. Delivered dose volume can be precisely calibrated and dispensed at volumes ranging from 15 to 50 micro liters. Each dose is individually packaged in a novel unit dose blister using an aseptic manufacturing process eliminating the need for preservatives and ensuring long term stability and sterility. Preservative free ophthalmic solutions are often preferred by physicians to reduce or eliminate the adverse side effects that often accompany the chronic use of preserved ophthalmic medications.
Every VersiDoser delivery system incorporates an automatic dose counter which simplifies compliance tracking and informs the user when a refill will be necessary. The precision dosing capabilities of VersiDoser Ophthalmic Delivery systems along with its superior ease of use reduces administration errors and the waste typically found with traditional ophthalmic eye drop delivery systems. These unique capabilities provide superior costs economics for patients, third party payors (reimbursement insurers) and pharma manufacturers.
VersiDoser Ophthalmic Delivery Systems are available in a variety of configuations to meet the varying demands of the market and pharma manufacturer’s product requirements. Ophthalmic Delivery Systems are available in multi-dose configurations of up to 90 doses and can be configured as either disposable or reloadable. These devices are compact and will fit easily into the palm of the hand. VersiDoser Delivery Systems are adaptable to a wide range of ophthalmic solutions or suspensions for glaucoma, macular degeneration, allergy, dry eye, anti-infective, anti-inflammatory and NSAIDs.
