Job Title: Marketing Communications Specialist

Type of Job: Part-time as needed

Salary Range: Contract position, commensurate with experience

Reports To: CEO and Management Team

An integrated specialty pharmaceutical company based in Austin, Texas is currently seeking an experienced Marketing Communications Specialist to work directly with the management team in developing press kits, press releases, product brochures and marketing materials to effectively represent the company’s key messaging, products and services to customers, clients and potential prospects. This person is a self-starter with high energy who can manage multiple tasks and adapt and respond quickly to opportunities.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5+ years prior marketing communications experience including developing press kits, writing and editing press releases, market collateral materials and product brochures

Professional and effective written and oral communication skills

Experience in using Business Wire services

Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage deadlines

Basic understanding of public relations, persuasion, image and consistency of message

Must be able to provide samples of your work and reference

Prior experience in the life science or pharmaceutical industry is a plus

Education Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following areas:

Journalism, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or any other relevant field
