Manufacturing Engineer

This person will play a crucial role in the development of a rapidly growing manufacturing operation, including primary responsibility for projects in the areas of engineering, design, execution and validation of systems and processes for facilities, critical utilities, and manufacturing and packaging systems.

Qualifications: To be considered, candidate must have a technical degree or an equivalent combination of formal training and industry experience. Candidate must possess strong interest technical aptitude and experience in at least two of the following key functional areas:

cGMP pharmaceutical and/or medical device manufacturing, assembly, packaging processes
    and equipment

Medical injection molding

Manufacturing automation

Industrial automation, controls, instrumentation and data acquisition

Process scale-up

Clean room design, engineering, construction

Environmental monitoring and control

Critical plant utilities

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have an engineering degree plus three or more years experience in a pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing engineering role. The candidate will demonstrate a successful track record of hands-on involvement in delivery of technical project results.

Maintenance Technician, Facility/Equipment

Local biosciences company is seeking a skilled, experienced maintenance technician. Successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring facility systems and process equipment are maintained in proper working order.

Successful applicant will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repair and improvement of facility systems and process equipment. In addition, the maintenance technician plays a key role in selection of technology and implementation of facility development projects.

Plant systems currently include:

  • HVAC systems

  • Electrical/Lighting

  • Potable and process water

  • Compressed gases

  • Central vacuum

  • Warehouse systems

  • Cleanrooms

  • Industrial instrumentation

Process equipment currently includes:

  • Injection molding machinery

  • Ancillary equipment for injection molding

  • Pharmaceutical packaging equipment

  • Semiautomatic assembly and packaging machinery

  • Material handling equipment

Process Engineer

Specialty pharmaceutical company near Austin, Texas is seeking process engineer or engineering technician with 5+ years experience in an FDA-regulated manufacturing environment.

With minimal direction, candidate filling this position will:

• Successfully plan and execute technical projects on time and within proposed budget in support of manufacturing department initiatives.

• Provide expertise in engineering, design, installation, startup and validation of key manufacturing, facility and utility systems.

• Collaborate on new product/platform development efforts to ensure that overall corporate objectives for product launches, process scale-up and product/process improvement efforts are met.

• Ensure manufacturing systems are properly maintained in a state of cGMP compliance throughout their life cycles

• Participate in periodic review and update of budgetary requirements for capital systems and cost of goods manufactured.
